Visiting a church for the very first time can be an awkward experience.
Where do I go? What time does it start? What is there for my kids?
When you visit First Baptist Church, you will find a friendly welcome from down-to-earth Christians who have a love for the Lord and their church family. There will always be someone to assist you with any questions or concerns. Our desire is that you will experience uplifting music, helpful teaching and preaching from the Word of God and a place where you can feel welcome. Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.
What is the Sunday morning schedule?
This is the Sunday school hour. About 10 minutes before the Adult Sunday School class is a small fellowship time of coffee and donuts. At 9:30 the children are then able to go to their respective classes and the adults meet in the sanctuary. This lasts until about 10:30 AM.
The worship service starts with congregational singing for about a half hour. This is followed by the preaching which lasts 45-60 minutes. Most services end around 12:00-12:15 PM.
Is there a nursery?
Yes. A nursery is provided for infants and children up to age three.
Should I bring my Bible?
We encourage everyone to bring their Bibles and follow along with the Pastor’s message. If you do not have a Bible, we will provide one on request.
